CITRUS HEIGHTS, Ca. - Philip Mazzi, lead mechanic at C&C Marine’s Citrus Heights store, is without a doubt, a master of his craft, wholly dedicated to ensuring that any bass boats under his care is repaired and returned to the customer in better shape than when it arrived. But while Phillp is dedicated to his craft – as it relates to bass fishing world, he is also a fanatic when it comes to custom garage-built hot rods, and expresses his love for that hobby via the Sacramento Chapter of the Poor Boys Car Club of which he is currently the secretary of.

Last year, Angler’s Press promotions in conjunction with the Sacramento Poor Boys, worked around the clock to bring over 700 garage-built pre-1965 hot rods, and over 10,000 attendees to a one-day extravaganza at Thunder Valley Casino Resort. And this Saturday, at the Yolo county Fairgrounds in Woodland Ca, the Sacramento Poor Boys will celebrate its 10th annual “Midnight Mass” custom car show event, which is shaping up to be the biggest show ever!

This year’s show will again features low buck, pre-1965, custom garage built cars, trucks, and motorcycles that represent the dreams and ingenuity of everyday car hobbyists throughout the entire west. “Our show is everything but your traditional hot rod show”, noted Phillip who himself is working in earnest to get his own car ready for the show. So totally restored hot rods, or primered project cars - that are not quite complete, are all welcome to be part of the show - and that in itself adds to the fun of this event”.

In last year’s Midnight Mass car show guests enjoyed hundreds of unique vendor displays, lots of great food, a 50’s Casino style “pin-up girl” contest, as well as over a dozen live bands playing genres of music ranging from outlaw country, to traditional Hank Williams/Johnny Cash tunes, to outrageous “Rockabilly” melodies.

And this year’s show is slated to be even bigger as the Yolo County Fairgrounds will provide the perfect venue in which to host such a massive event, with nice grassy areas and lots of shade trees for guests to take advantage of while they enjoy the show.

So when you see the type of custom cars that will be on display at this show, and consider the obvious time and dedication that was required to put such wonderful mechanical masterpieces together...you will KNOW exactly why Phillip Mazzi is one of the best marine mechanics in the business, and does such an awesome job keeping your bass boats running!.

For more information about the show, event times, as well as a photo gallery from last year’s show, visit http://www.sacramentopoorboys.com or http://www.anglerspress.com, and you will find all of the information you need.

Hope to see you all at Midnight Mass 2013!
