Clear Lake lodging

Post by jimmyG »

Just found out I'll be fishing FLW Clear Lake as a co-angler and Konocti Vista Resort/Hotel is all booked up. Can anyone recommend another motel close by for that Wednesday/Thursday night. Thanks in advance for your input.

The old Ferndale resort was bought out by Konocti Vista, ask them if they have room down there. They have their own ramp & it's a short boatride to Konocti Vista. It's is kinda Bates Motelish in a funky sort of way but it was always clean. I used to stay there when I was looking for a house.

there are several motel type hotels in lakeport about 5 miles away from the casino they are all older motels with the skylark shores probably the best of the bunch and across the street from a restaurant.

The Skylark is great. Not too far of a drive down to Konocti either. Definitely my favorite motel on the lake.

the Skylark is hard to beat...clean and close to everything you need. Tell them you are fishing the FLW and they will give you an awesome rate. good luck

Ferndale ??? really small even for two people and more comfort in a motel 6. TV and phone was an option $5.00 when we stayed there afew years ago.
Had an incident there with some guys were sleeping in their boat with the cover over them when acoupal of the locals try to do a midnite shopping trip. Scare the heck out of the guy in the boat and midnite shoppers. Skylark is better if rooms available and resturants within walking distance.
