Transducer Installation Help

Post by ash »

Hey Amigos,

I am trying to clean up the installation of my new Fish Finder Transducer Cable, there are these wired covered grommets I have seen used before (see picture below) Where can I find these? This would be perfect to mount on my plastic panel at the nose of the boat.

Ash,
Not sure what you're referring to in the photo's. If its the square plastic thingy that covers the wires, I have an extra that you can have. I got mine at either C&C or West Marine. Not sure which. They come in packs of 2
If it's the wire wraps, any hardware store or Home Depot has em.

The type of plastic hole cover that's pictured above can crack easily when screwed down too tight or after long exposure to the elements. T&H Marine is one company who makes them, and they're fairly common.

I like the metal ones made by Perko (called "ventilators"). They're a different shape but more durable:

Thanks fish food aka bones, I was looking for that as well. All that I could find were 2" or exit races, so thanks.
