ABA starts the 2014 DVL region this Sunday!

Post by 1socalbass »

Hello All,

My staff and I will be at DVL this Sunday (1-19-14) to start the new season. Participation was up last year and it looks like we are going to up again this season. The weather is going to be perfect!

ABA DVL Page:

Please use the tabs on the regional page to view event info, entry fees, sample paybacks, waiver, membership form. All forms on the new website are interactive which allows you to fill them out online and print them out to save you time in the morning.

Please call Jason to pre-sign if your coming out, and plan to get to the lake a little early (no latter than 5:00am) as this is the first event of the season and it will take a few extra minutes to get everyone signed up.

if you choose to fish deep, needle your fish ON THE WATER and check on them throughout the day. I don't need/want to hear about excessive mortality this weekend. Thanks.

There is a video posted on this website detailing how to do it. its up to us, as angler's to do it. We owe it to the fish....

Kwin - I heard thru the grapevine that the tournament circuit is responsible for excessive fish mortality and could face a fine/revocation of their tourney permits. True?

There are conditions to all permitted tournaments that, if not met satisfactorily, can result in revocation/cancellation of said or future permits and the ability to acquire future permits. Conditions are included or attached to all permits with #1 being "insofar as possible, all fish shall be returned to the water alive and in good condition". The additional conditions outline strategies to basically ensure condition #1 as much as possible. It is the responsibility of the tournament organization to ensure the conditions are fulfilled to maximize survival of the fish that are THE integral part of competitive fishing.
