Here is the latest info on Berryessa regarding water level and facilities:

The water is 26.27 feet below the top of the spillway. Lake Berryessa has had 1.88 inches of rainfall since 7/1/13. As of the Monday, 1/27/14, the lake level is 413.73 feet msl.

Steele Canyon Recreation Area, Spanish Flat Recreation Area, and Putah Canyon Recreation Area Are Open at Lake Berryessa!

Reservation Policy

Payments are made in advance on-line and over the phone. Cancellations must be received 72 hours or more in advance of planned arrival date to receive a refund.

Campsites and Recreational Vehicle (RV) Sites - During the Summer (April 1st to October 1st) there is a 2 night minimum stay for weekend campsite reservations (3 nights over holiday weekends). There is no charge for children under the age of 12.

Rates are based on double occupancy, and do not include taxes or gratuities.

Must be 21 years old to reserve a campsite.

There is a limit of two vehicles and eight people for Standard and RV Campsites.

There is a limit of one vehicle and four people for Tent Only Campsites.

All rates are subject to approval by the Bureau of Reclamation and can change at any time.

Rates

RV Campsite (Maximum 2 vehicles) - $32 (2 people). Additional person $4, maximum 8 people per site.

Standard Campsite (Maximum 2 vehicles) - $30 (2 people). Additional person $4, maximum 8 people per site.

Tent Only Campsite (Maximum 1 vehicle) - $25 (2 people). Additional person $4, maximum 8 people per site.

12 years and under are free

Extra Vehicle/Parking - $5 per vehicle, per night of camping.

Pet Fee - $5 per pet, per day or night of camping

Day Use - $15 per vehicle

Extra Person (day use) - $4 per person, walk in.

Boat Launch - Not a registered camper $20 (Steele Canyon only).

Boat Launch - Registered camper $10 (Steele Canyon only).

Annual Boat Launch Pass - $250 - May, 2013 to May, 2014 (usable at Steele Canyon only).

Annual Day Use Pass - $125 (site specific pass for Spanish Flat and site specific pass for Steele Canyon).

The Annual Day Use Pass is a sticker in the window of the car good for one year and this includes driving in and parking, fishing, etc.... you do not have to park outside.

ALL annual passes can be purchased at the gate at Steele Canyon Resort.

Please note that currently no RV hook-ups, potable water, flush restrooms or showers are available for campers at any of the Recreation Areas. Visitors and campers are advised to bring bottled drinking water.

Reclamation Announces Seasonal Recreation Area Closures and Seasonal Changes to
Park Hours at Lake Berryessa

The Bureau of Reclamation, Central California Area Office, has scheduled a seasonal closure of the north side of Oak Shores Day Use Area and the two restrooms along the Smittle Creek Trail at Lake Berryessa from Oct. 15 through April 1, 2014. The south side of Oak Shores will continue to offer restroom facilities, picnic tables, barbeque grills, water access and a kayak/canoe hand launch. This seasonal closure allows Reclamation to perform necessary maintenance tasks and provides time for natural resource recovery. All other locations will remain open year-round.

Seasonal changes to park hours include the following for the Reclamation-operated Oak Shores Day Use Area, Smittle Creek Day Use Area and Eticuera Day Use Area:

Beginning Sept. 9, gates will close at 7 p.m. to reflect changes in daylight hours.

Effective Oct. 15 through Nov. 3, gates will close at 6 p.m.

From Nov 3, 2013, through March 8, 2014, gates will close at 5 p.m.

The Capell Cove Boat Launch Facility continues to be open from 4 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The Dufer Point Visitor Center is open Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 3 p.m.

I called Pleasure Cove marina this morning.
They said the water was dropping noticeably on a daily basis since they start the latest draw down.
But she said their ramp would be fine for me to launch on Saturday.
