Clear lake water levels

Post by adamsj13 »

Does anyone know how low the lake is? I was there back in march and was like 6 feet low. Is it about the same?

Full pool is a little over 7.5' on the gauge(Rumsey) used to establish lake level. Currently the lake is at 2.5' on the gauge so the lake is about 5' down from full and is very fishable.

Just returned from CL yesterday. It's low and CLEAR. Bite was tough. Lake is prob down 5 or 6 feet. It's gonna be ugly come summer.

I was then Fri/Sat, afternoon/night. The water was very clear last week but some areas have a bit of color now-not much. A lot of green gunk has now appeared in a few areas down south and is moving into coves - where ever the wind takes it.

took my first trip ever to Clear Lake last fall , had a blast on both the bass and catfish .
Question , with the levels currently low , will boats be able to launch in late summer early fall ?
What was the lake level at this time last year?
