Dan Sweat/Darren Shima Win Berryessa Bass Tournaments

Thanks to the 22 Teams that fished the third event of the Berryessa Bass Tournaments Circuit for the 2014-2015 Season that was on December 14, 2014 hosted out of Markley Cove. Another good turn-out with some new teams that made an appearance. We had some big rain come through and the lake has risen 4 plus feet and still is rising! Again, thanks for the support to the teams for showing up to fish! Fishing on Berryessa remains a little tough for most teams with the weights reflecting the tough bite! The weather was fairly warm with air temperatures climbing into the 50’s, but by weigh-ins, it got chilly. The lake seems to be fairly clear with all the rains that came. Water temps are still in the high 50’s. Top teams reported catching their fish with jigs, A-rigs, and swimbaits. First place went to Dan Sweat and Darren Shima with 18.10lbs. Finishing in Second place anchored with nice fish that weighed 5.71lbs, Mike Nichelini and Carl Keller weighed in 17.91lbs. For Third place Richard Dobyns and James Avalos had a 3.94 kicker and a sack that weighed 16.66 lbs. Fourth place went to Carson Leber and Brett Nielson weighing in 15.58 lbs and with a kicker that weighed 6.54lbs for 2nd place Big Fish. Fifth place went to Art Narverud and James Kimura with the Big Fish of the tournament at 6.97lbs and a weight of 15.57lbs. Matt Hamilton & Zach Myers took Sixth place with 14.84lbs. Scott Crawford and Terry Devincenzi with 14.84 lbs. took Seventh place. Thanks to all the teams for supporting the 2014-2015 Berryessa Bass Tournaments Circuit with all the crazy weather this past week and weekend! There are still five tournaments left to qualify for the TOC. There will also be a little twist with the points for the last tournament scheduled May 9, 2015 that will be announced before the tournament. Let me know if you have any questions on anything.
