HDS 7 Gen2 Touch - black Structure Scan HD box needed?

Hello--

I'm a novice to FFs...

Seriously considering this unit and can't seem to figure it out from the Lowrance website.

1. Does this unit come with GPS, Chartplotter, FF AND Structure Scan built in or will it need to add the Structure Scan HD black boxes I have seen in other Lowrance HDS units?

The unit comes with the 83/200 and LSS-2

I see Gen2 units that seem to need the SS HD box. Is it built in to the Gen2 Touch?

Only HDS key pad units need the LSS box. The software needed to run the LSS ducer is in every Touch unit. Most importantly all Touch units have a port on the back of the unit for the ducer to plug into therefore transmitting the information from the ducer directly into the head unit.

The black box is needed for the key pad units because there is no way to plug the ducer into the unit. The ducer will plug into the black box and then via an ethernet cable, plug into the head unit creating communication between the ducer and the head unit allowing for the Structure Scan image to be displayed.

The Touch combo package you are looking at that has the 83/200 broadband transducer and the LSS-2 transducer is all you need to view both types of sonar on your touch unit.

What about this key pad unit? Not clear if it includes both transducers, 83/200 and the LSS-2 like the touch model.

The HDS Gen 2 8 Bundle in your link will have a black box module included with the LSS-2 transducer.
