I have one and so far so good (3 weeks). It is not perfect but makes trolling in shallow grassy water much much better. You will still occasionally have to lift the motor to clean if in really thick stuff. I would definitely recommend this product.

Looks simple to make your own, Interested to see how you all like them.
Re: Has anybody used one of these yet?
Seven or eight years ago I saw a version of it that was made of plastic with a serrated edge. I went to a friend's shop and made a couple of them out of scrap pieces of stainless steel and have been using it ever since. Absolutely money.

Looks like a resurrected Jen-Su Blade from the early 2000s.
Do people really have issues with weeds/grass tangling their props? I've never really experienced the prop tangles running both Minn Kota and MotorGuide trollers. All of the grass seems to accumulate on the motor shaft where it joins the housing, not the prop area.

I had the Jen-Su Blade on a 101 MinnKota and it was awesome. Has to be right up to the blade with-in a 1/4 inch to work great !! Plan on getting one for my next boat too !!

They don't just keep weeds off your prop...they also are extremely effective in cutting old discarded line the prop would normally pick up.

Too bad they don't have one for the main motor.
