rebuilt Evinrude225 fict issues, need someone who can work on it

Post by W.C »

The motor has low hours and has no problem starting but as soon as you try to get on plain it starts to stall badly. Im hoping that their is a mechanic out here who can take a look at it for a fair cost. Im in Manteca area. Hope someone can direct me to someone close by who works on those motors other than Lyle Gossett who is just to far for me.
thank you for any info.

Will, go to the Bassboatcentral website and post your question in the Evinrude section of the Forums. Lots of knowledgable people on there. Hope this helps.

Sorry everyone on here is gonna think Lyle gossip is my best friend. I'm not even sure he remembers my name. But the important thing about him is he's more honest than any mechanic I've ever met. And he is in Evinrude expert. Sorry the drives too long for you.
Al at Bobs Marine has always treated me very well too.
