Launched at 8 with low expectations for top water but got a frog fish at 9.
Water ranged from mid 60s to 70 degrees through out the day and depending on location.
Saw fish busting around the docks in Piper but not in any of the usual back-of-cove spots.
Can't tell if the Fall bite is on yet. Is it?

Good stuff how's the new boat treating you?
I see it's a ranger but what did you end up with?

Loving the new boat. Ended up with a 2014 Z521c. Love being able to fish in the wind and being able to cover more water. Still freaked out about going over breaks without my old aluminum hull though!

If you gauge the bite by the weights of the BBT TOC this past weekend you would say its pretty tough out there at least for larger fish. Around 3/4 of the teams averaged less then 10# a day. Only the top 10 averaged 15# a day. That's tough fishing when you factor in there was 190+ boats.
