No bottom reading HDS8

Since Lake mead in the hot summer I haven't been able to get the bottom to read on my unit. Don ivino told me the units could be heading up at its well over 100' at Lake Mead.

It's not the transducer I tested it with me other unit and it reads fine.

Any idea or help? Did I hit a wrong setting?

Maybe place the sensitivity to AUTO. Very weak return.
Check the angle of the xdcr against the attitude of your boat.
