Shasta Lake lodging or camping suggesstions

Post by jimmyG »

Planning to fish the WWBT Pro/Am this weekend at Shasta Lake as an Am and was thinking of taking my boat up to do prefish, who knows, I may make the top 10 cut off (dreaming). I have a cabover camper for camping or could do the motel thing.

Looking for suggestions for boat friendly/secure camping or motel suggestions. I would have to leave the boat unattended on tourny days. The host motel is the Holiday Inn and I believe there was a Motel 6 that had electrical outlets in the parking lot, but its been so long I can't remember which one. Then again I have a generator for the camper.

Any an all suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Jimmy,

There's a trailer/camping/RV place by Fawndale Lodge. I can't remember the name of it. I stayed there once in motor home for a Shasta event. They had caretakers and we left a boat there too. It was safe place. It's been 7-8 years ago but I think it's still there.

Call Phil's Props and ask them.
