Delta Status
If someone knows the specifics of the updated status of the south Delta limitations, please let us all know. Thanks, Joe
Re: Delta Status
Need to check the San Joaquin County Office of Emergency Services Website:
Here is the link to the updated restrictions / closures from March 21.
Scroll down and there is a new map ...... takes a few seconds to open

Re: Delta Status
Does anyone know the conditions around Franks Tract and south to Discovery Bay?
Are speed limits in effect?
Is there a lot of floating/semi submerged logs in the water?

Conditions last week....Bassfishman wrote:Does anyone know the conditions around Franks Tract and south to Discovery Bay?

Murky , about 1' visibility. Temps in the upper 50s. Waterways were clean, only scattered small veg, tules. I didn't see any logs.
Fear does not prevent death, it prevents life.
You've never lived until you've almost died and for those who have fought for it, life has a whole new flavor that the protected will never know....

Attitude plus effort equal success
CLEAN AND DRY

Re: Delta Status
I'm confused, the write up describes three colors, orange, pink, and yellow, but the map only shows 2 colors? I haven't been diagnosed as color blind, so what gives?

The written instructions are confusing. Use the Map:Morgan wrote:I'm confused, the write up describes three colors, orange, pink, and yellow, but the map only shows 2 colors? I haven't been diagnosed as color blind, so what gives? Morgan
Pink = closed
Orange = 5mph/ 2hrs before + 2hrs after high tide ( 4 hr window )
The "Orange area" around Mildred Island is 5mph / 1hr before + 1hr after high tide ( 2 hr window )
No restrictions "inside" Mildred Island
It appears to me they are using "Orwood / Old River" as the benchmark to determine High Tide
This is the SJC OES link for tides:

Don't be confused ..... catch fish
Re: Delta Status
So no Yellow?
Re: Delta Status
I sure wish they would open Whiskey Slough back up. I'm getting tired of paying for valet service and having to drag my rig to Turner Cut and launch it there myself!

Morgan ..... I'm just another Bass fisherman like you and am not an Authority on the goings on at San Joaquin County, but there is no "yellow" on the map, and there has not been any "yellow" on any of the several maps that have been published in the last month.Morgan wrote:So no Yellow?
I have to believe the "yellow" reference at Item # 2 of the written instructions is a typo. I don't think I would worry about it, the map is fairly clear. If it is really concern, you could likely get a clarification from SJC OES.
