One of the most anticipated events of the year is set for October 28, 2017. This will be the first ever major league style fishing tournament in the history of contest fishing at Lake Casitas. Everyone is welcome whether you have a boat or not. All anglers must bring their smart phone. We will register you in the morning with ScoreTracker Live. Entry fee is $150 per person. As always please bring cash. Sign up will be inside the Marina Café from 5 AM to 6 AM. After everyone is registered we will have a draw for partners. Boaters will be paired with non-boaters. Each boat will receive a Brecknell scale with a Fish Grip Junior pre-rigged and ready to go. We will then proceed to the coyote launch ramp and take off will be 7 AM. Weigh-in will be 3 PM. This is not a team tournament. You will catch your own fish and net your own fish. Once an angler catches a fish your partner in the boat will be responsible for weighing that fish with both parties agreeing on the weight. Size limit is 13 inches mouth closed on a flat board and you can catch as many fish as you want. There will be cash and trophies to the top five finishers. The winner of the event will receive the first ever “Casitas Cup” which is a beautiful crystal cup trophy.
