The mid-summer heat has a showdown brewing for this weekend’s exciting UFC4 event, as some of northern California’s top pros are set to square off against the California delta’s healthy population of largemouth bass, for a battle of attrition that will see nearly every brand of top water frog bait on the market splash, wiggle, and pop their way across the river’s miles and miles of close-to-shore grass mats.
Noted pros such as Greg Gutierrez, Richard Dobyns, Jason Kincanon, Chris Ball, River2Sea Open champion Brett Leber, and even Clearlake guru Mark Crutcher, to name a few, have all entered the brawl, and though we tried in earnest to find out just which frog they would be using, the most that any would admit to, was the fact that they would be using a wide variety of brands.
And speaking of variety, Hideki Maeda owner of Japanese manufactured Teckel Frogs, will have available ONLY at the UFC4 event, the newest addition to their great lineup of top water frogs – the dynamic Maracker Frog!
The action and sound this frog produces is something totally different than what delta bass are used to, and it could very well help some lucky angler earn a huge paycheck this weekend!...(Click on video link below)
