Lakeport evac info UPDATE Mandatory Evacuations for Lakeport
The River Fire near Hopland broke out at 1 p.m. Friday and by Saturday morning had grown to 6,500 acres and destroyed at least one home and one outbuilding, Cal Fire said. Seven firefighters were injured battling the fire.
That fire also spawned evacuation advisories in neighboring Lake County, where the sheriff’s department advised residents in Lakeport and other areas to consider evacuating as a precaution.
The advisory covered all of Lakeport, as well as from the Mendocino County line in the west to the 3000 block of Scotts Valley Road and Park Way to the north, the shores of Clear Lake to the east and Highland Springs and Big Valley Road to the south.

CITY OF LAKEPORT UPDATED RIVER FIRE INFORMATION
Mandatory evacuation order for City of Lakeport areas west of State Highway 29 remain in effect. Advisory evacuations for areas east of State Highway 29 also remain in effect (see map)
Firefighters continue to battle the River and Ranch fires. Crews worked throughout the night to reinforce containment lines.
Weather conditions will continue to challenge firefighters as hot, dry and windy conditions persist. A lack of available suppression and overhead personnel will also slow the firefighting efforts. For additional information see CALFIRE River Fire (Mendocino Complex) Incident report:

Lakeport Emergency Operations Center (EOC) currently staffed and may be reached (707) 263-5683. Additional information and continuing updates provided at:
