The sheriff’s report states the Friedmans never notified law enforcement of the alleged theft.
On Aug. 16, Daniel and Eric Friedman allegedly called the man they accused of shoplifting “as a ruse/ploy to get them to come to the business to purchase an item ... ,” the report said.
Once he and the other man arrived at the store, they allegedly were beaten and forced to turn over their cellphones, wallets and $1,180 in cash.
“Do you want to die today?” Daniel Friedman allegedly yelled at the 23-year-old man, who told deputies he was struck by a “blackjack” while also being kicked and hit in the face with the shotgun.
Naomi Friedman and Kellener allegedly disabled the store’s video-surveillance system during the attack, deputies said....
