transducer selection

Post by lwake21 »

I am running lowrance gen 3's. one at the console is hooked to a total scan transducer on the back for the boat. My question is that I want to run my front graph on a different structure scan transducer. What is the best transducer to run on the front of the boat.

You can also choose to run a Totalscan transducer on your trolling motor. This way you get traditional sonar and down scan like in the HDI transducer that Len suggested, which is a great choice, but with the new trolling motor mount that Jim Slusher from the Comfortroll fame is making the Totalscan transducer will fit on a trolling motor and you can add the Left and Right views to your trolling motor in addition to the Down Scan and Traditional Sonar that you get with the HDI ducer. You can reach Jim at his work number which is 805-237-0549. His shop is in Paso Robles, California.
