Navionics Platinum VS C-Map

Post by AWC360 »

Just upgraded to a HDS Live 7 from and I’m still very new to it. I’m inclined to get the Navionics Hotmap Platinum for pretty much all of California (lakes). Is there a better version of C-Map or updates that I should consider, or is Navionics the way to go? Appreciate any and all assistance.

I think you will be very happy with the Navionics card for the detail and amount of lakes that are included. Visit Navionics.com and click the free ChartViewer (on top menu) to see the coverage and what you will get with a card.

Here is the link to the chart viewer: https://webapp.navionics.com/?lang=en

Just be sure to click this button to enable SonarChart and the 1ft contours.

Navionics has hands down the best mapping in the West. Add the app to your phone and what you have is the ability to make live maps, check weather, make waypoints, and a host of other key features that will help you catch more fish.

The Navionics chart will have one foot contours and access to thousands of updates from users via community updates.
