“Cheaters”??? This has been going on,and on,and on,and on..... I run the ABA motherlode and had been approached about them.. all the people doing the “accusing”, “do u have any proof”? The few people who were blabbing this before, I talked to, and I got many different stories, but the fu$$ed up part is no one could give me any proof... it was all he said she said... This really banishes our sport and really wish people would come forward w/“THE TRUTH” or shut the fu$$ up... I lost a few teams in my region this year cuz of a “stud” team that is on an amazing roll, and people wanted to accuse them... so after they won a big event, they passed the poly test, and then the next big event, the “pro/am” one of the team members set records, was on video, and now those accusers are wearing skirts... so please, instead of ruining our sport, please let me know the proof.. that way these guys can eithe move on or be banished... I’m always available for the “REAL” story....

Never "Actually" caught, but highly suspected. Especially when refusing to take a lie detector test a number of years ago. I believe it was at Shasta (ABA possibly, not sure about the circuit tho) What I do know for sure is, I and many other anglers I know will not enter a tourney if they are in. But, that's JMHO !!

I would love to know who is the suspected cheaters instead of making people wonder. Help fellow fisherman out there to know who to stay clear from.
Congrats to Christian and Kevin! Christian has been been catching some nice bags in the motherlode.

If he is a convicted cheater. then why not put the name? It would be easy to verify through public records. If you don't want to do that, then contact the Director and give him the name to verify your claim as I'm sure they don't want that type of person in their circut.

Gat a call from a friend who reminded me of more. The team had won an open at Shasta the year before with Largemouths, and a substantial lead, not an easy thing on Shasta, then the next year won again with Largemouths, again with a substantial lead !! This time the fish were kept and sent to Fish & Game biologists who determined the fish came from the Delta !! They had refused the Lie Detector at first, then decided to take it. One barely passed and the other partner failed miserably !! They were banned from those opens and other circuits joined in. SO, while they were not really CAUGHT, the writing is on the wall !! Angler beware, JMTC !!

Don’t enter tournaments if you think they are cheating. ‘Nuff said. I was in both tournaments. They did better than I. Next time. And where is this “Conviction?” I don’t know him but know of him. He’s perfected his knowledge of big trout eaters. Can’t be mad when he wins. Delta bass get placed all over btw, in hopes of improving fisheries.... legal, no, but it happens

Honest question...

Seems like people have strong suspicions on a fairly regular basis. Because of this I've always wondered why these promoters do not invest in cameras to equip our boats with? Hero 3 silver editions all over for 100 bucks or less. Easy solution no?

Or use our own and have the same folks who check live wells in the a.m. check cams also. Use boat number paper slips with dates to hold up when turning them on? Hate to even have to think about this but it seems as if it would stop the finger pointing and cheating.

You seem rather invested in this. Even in the last posts of the accused you were in there going to bat for them.

Make it easy on yourself. If they decide to come fish one of your events just ask him if he was ever banned from fishing any other tournament circuits in the past.

All I can add is wholly smokes am I glad I am just a hobbyist fishermen. I can’t imagine being on the same lake with 185 boats, that just sounds absolutely ridiculous if you ask me. Good thing is when you don’t fish tournaments, you can chuckle at all the drama that happenes within these tournaments.

I think those fancy new fish finders are pretty close to cheating as well. Next thing you know we’ll have a gps of all the fish in the lake, and a lure to go there. Lol

Let there are cheaters in every sport
Nascar
Nhra
Nfl
Mlb
Nba
Hockey
Golf
Bowling
Fishing
But only in fishing you get a bunch of tournament officials that are clueless about a list of fisherman that have been band form fishing tournaments. Maybe these officials need too explain why they let this happen if it did happen. Im sure they'll come up with some lame excuse im sure.
