Lowrance Helpwith HDS Carbon

Post by scot71755 »

Hi,
I was wondering if there is someone I can get to assist me with setting up my Lowrance. Is there anybody out there who would do on water assistance? I live on the Delta and could use some help. I have a HDS Carbon 9 on my bow and a HDS 7 on my dash. I watched a couple of videos but my screens don't seem to look like theirs. Any suggestions?

thanks

What do you want your screens to "look like"? Please explain how the ones you see are different from the default screens on your units. I can help you get to where you want to be without being on the water with you.

To add to Kens post, it would help to know your transducer types, mounting style and locations. Pics are always great!

Thank you for replying.
My screen looks like it has too much clutter on it.(thats the best way to describe it) I will try to get some screen shots.
When I see the pics on the web or videos the pictures/downscan seems much "crisper" than mine. I will also get the transducer types and mounting. Thanks for you help. I know it can be better than I currently have it.

Take a couple pictures of the mounting position of the Structure Scan transducer with the motor trimmed all the way down to make sure there is no interference to the sides of the ducer.

Hi,
Sorry for the delay. couldn't get out on the water. I did find a video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GSD7hU3GftM by Fletcher Shyrock that helped a whole bunch.
I must have somehow screwed up the settings prior to this and after these adjustments it looks a whole lot better.

I will try to post some pictures as requested this weekend, as any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,
