Out of state boat sale advice

Post by bustout »

Hi All
WAnted to get advice if a dealer wanted to buy my boat, are there any risks ?
- from Minnesota
- says will send Wells Fargo cashiers check and once I am satisfied will have me send bill of sale and title
- then he will send shipper to pick it up

Is this legit? Sounds like an easy sell but wanted to be cautious

Thanks
Jack

Its a scam. My friend just had the same offer but from new york. Got the Check, cashed it, then the bank called and said it was a fake. Be careful

Thanks
I told him that I would not sign anything or send any title until after check clears. Not giving him any info other than address and phone #
