HDS Carbon - shuts off

I have an HDS Carbon about a year old. It shuts off or sometimes reboots and sticks on a screen that says HDS Carbon after 15-30 minutes of operation. Any ideas of suggestions? Below is the verification I have done thus far.

The unit is on a dedicated battery
I verified each power wiring does not have any loose connections
Battery is good and just to make sure put it on a charger.
I did a hard reset
I installed the newest version of update software.

The only thing I can think of is the software has an issue. I would call Lowrance customer care and maybe they can remove and reinstall the software to get rid of the bug.

Ken thank you for the response. I have contacted Lowrance and they have given permission to return it for diagnosis and possibly replacement. I have touched every wiring connection and fuse on the full loop of power service. Personally, I think it is some internal part that is heating excessively but I honestly haven’t a clue. If I find out what it is I’ll try to share it. Again thank you.
