Will today's rain be a topwater "Wake up Call" for Berryessa bass?

Post by AnglersPress »

This morning’s early season rain may be just the “wake up call” Lake Berryessa bass, trout and Kokanee have been needing in order for them to come alive at this weekend’s 1st annual Gone Fishin’ Marine Customer Appreciation tournament, being held (Saturday - the bass tournament) and (Sunday - the Trout/Kokanee tournament) at Steele Canyon Park.

For with predicted cooling temperatures ranging from 71-86 degrees for both Saturday and Sunday, we could very well have an AMAZING topwater “shootout” for bass and a BIG TIME feeding “frenzy” for trout and Kokanee anglers.

But let us not forget that this event goes way beyond the fishing tournament, as it is Gone Fishin’ Marine’s small way of saying “Thank You” to its many loyal customers, and to the outdoor public at large, as both Saturday and Sunday will feature a delicious FREE BBQ, great raffle, and other things for guests to enjoy - EVEN IF YOU DO NOT PARTICPATE in the tournament!

If you want to "feel" the power of the Nitro Z21 - powered by Mercury's 4-stroke engine, pro staff member big Ron Howe will be on hand for full demo rides!

Also…keep in mind:

- LAUNCH FEES WILL BE REDUCED

Launch fees for participants have been reduced to $15, so make sure you let them know at the gate, that you are a participant.

- LIVE BAIT IS ALLOWED FOR TROUT/KOKANEE

Trout/Kokane participants may also use two rods, provided you have a valid two-rod stamp - from DFW in your possession.
