Fishing in Monterey

I'll be in Monterey the begging of October for work for 3 days.
Any ideas or help on what I should target?
I will be bank or pier fishing.

I have a buddy who’s been getting on the stripers. Surf fishing at Marina State Beach. Just up the street from Monterey. It’s been a pretty consistent bite. Swim baits jerk baits and hair razors
