From what I understand you have to rent one of their boats and they all run off electric so I would assume they run sub 5 mph. I think if its too windy they won't rent them out at all.

I used to fish here every once in awhile. As stated, you can only rent their boats with electric motors. I stopped going because every time I would drive there anticipating renting a boat, they would say it was too windy. It does get very windy there, but they seem to be a little excessive with it. They said if the forecast is over 13 mph (every day in that region it seems) they won't rent a boat. So, be prepared to be turned away. I'd call and ask first, but I did have one time they did rent me a boat, and then they came out and got us mid day and said we had to come back because it was getting too windy. I think they refunded part of the rental fee, but it's not worth the effort personally.

I only went there one time 2 years ago and rented a boat. The trolling motor took some getting used to. The staff helps you get every thing to the boat and shows you how to use it. My one complaint is that when I loaded the boat I asked the guy if I could fish around the marina he said ya no problem as there was one other boat fishing the marina. So I pulled out a Huddleston and started casting around the dock all of the sudden another employe walked out on the dock and said I wasn't allowed to fish the Marina with Swim baits. I laughed and thought it was a joke but he said no he was serious and his boss said I would have to leave if I kept it up. Any ways it looks like a cool lake I think I caught a couple keepers on Senkos had one big follower on a glide bait and that was it.

Thanks guys. It looked good, but it sounds like it's too good to be true.
