Buzzbaits

Post by nate50 »

Hey everyone

Has anyone found some good buzzbaits to run toads on the back? I’ve tried a few and haven’t found one that will run true, always comes in sideways. I’ve tried different trailers, retrieve speed and bending the wire.

Thanks in advance for the help

I don’t use trailers on my buzzbaits but I use the D&M double buzz. Love them, they have the best whine and chug.

War Eagle make a great one comes with the Horny Toad already on there. Rick G

I've had similar results with most single buzzbait's. When you put a horny toad on they run sidway's. Buddha Baits Toad A Lac on Tackle Warehouse runs true and really good for a swimmer as well.

Brabec Buzzbaits in both the double buzz and single are one of the best on the Market. they pop right up and dont tend to roll over - i started using these last year and have been greatly impressed. i typically reserve big trailers for once my buzz baits get beat up and skirts fall off - :D

Thanks Ash,
Ive been playing with buzzbaits for 40 years and have tried all sorts of trailers and trailer hooks . I now feel i get just as many bites and hook the fish just fine with nothing but a skirt on it.Only throw a 1/2 ounce double blade
