New PB from Camanche

Here is a Camanche update from a friend of mine George West that checked in after reading Westernbass.

After reading the fishing report on Lake Camanche, my wife and I decided to head out to the lake.
I purchased some Bass Union jigs in brown and purple and some Yamamoto Twin Tails in green pumpkin. We got to Camanche first thing in the morning and I was surprised with my PB!

It was an 8.30 lb largemouth. I caught it on a main lake point in about 15 feet of water.

By 11:00 a.m., we caught 9 fish total. I can’t wait to get back next weekend.

Nice bass - congrats!! A jig with Yamamoto grub trailer is truly a "year-round" bait! Trophy bass just can't pass up a properly fished jig - even in the summer!!

Congratulations what a day to catch your PB and on your first cast that is great. That brown purple jig is a fish catcher all throughout the state of California. Hard to beat it year round.
