Night fishing lights

Can anybody please give some recommendations for night fishing lights, black lights, etc. I just purchased A set but they are way too small. Pics didn’t do it justice.

They sell fancy black lights that mount in a boats rub rail these days but the black light I have is made by "Stan Sloan " and used to be the standard years ago . It has an 18" black light tube for fishing and an 18" white fluorescent for tying on baits or lighting up the inside of the boat . I would imagine Tackle warehouse or BPS would have them .

I have the Sloan lights! I fish a lot at night and have used most fluorescent lights/lines/doo-flickeys on the market. What you need is a good LED fluorescent (black) headlight. And good fluorescent line. The LED headlamps are just as bright as the Zorro lights and rub rail lights can get expensive and labor intensive. Honest, I had the light on deck when I went out to test the headlamp....never even had to set it up. Stren made a fluorescent braid...Berkeley had a fluorescent fireline.... Get a white light caplight for when you need to see. Bring plenty of spares (everything). Watch out for shootin stars.

We only use the running lights and our headlamps. The only time we use our headlamps is when we retie or netting a fish. Other than that, we like it dark.

I’m currently installing some “PlashLights” on my Ranger RT198P. Made by a guy in Texas. I ordered the 8 rock light RGB kit from him. Lights operate in a thousand different colors. Will be great for deck lighting. They also dim.

Everyone has a different idea about night fishing lights.
What you need is nav and anchor lights on at night fishing public lakes.
You should have a powerful spot light, flash lights and a led cap light.
I have seen everything for flood light to light up the shoreline like a stadium to blacked out boat with no lights. No lights is illegal and unsafe.
Our night vision has zero depth perception making casting accurately at night very difficult.
White light attracts bugs, that is a consideration.
LED lights have very low amp draw, another consideration.
Black lights are popular but IMO tend to make you a light watcher in lieu of a line feeler and a distraction.
What I have learned over the decades of night bass fishing is lights don't bother bass. The fact is lights attract them by attracting baitfish, the reason lighted marinas are always good.
Lights bother me more then the fish, it takes time to recover my vision at night.

Look at Moon Lite, small but very powerful, plug into a stereo jack that you mount on your boat cap. Only problem is trying to order them as you have to go through a dealer as the do not sell direct.

Back in the day I would take a paint roller extension handle put 2 12volt 50 watt blubs on a light bracket extend it up 15' and put it in one of the seat holes, my boat had and extra in the center.

I guess the fish thought it was a full moon , didn't bother them at all . I could see inside my live well weigh fish move around the boat without stepping on a rod and it attracted all the bugs up to the lights so they didn't bother me, most important I was able to cast at objects without having to guess where I was throwing

You were one those stadium light boats you could see for miles away.
I morphed into a more stealth approach with a powerful underwater light at the transum to light area, like your boat is in a swimming pool at night with the pool light on. Everything works, just pick what works for you.

I can't get my club in Florida to do night tournaments . We are a senior club at 68 there is 1 member younger than me . Gotta be in bed by 8pm and up at 3:30am

But I have a BoJo fishing light on my dock that brings in all different types of fish and Gators and 3 light on poles that keep most of the bugs above us when fishing
