Riley and I had some fun times last week that got topped off with a seven pounder on a bladed jig. As I have yet to find the right mats at the right time, the bladed jig has been a consistent producer of average sized and better bass. Early in the morning, especially at lower tides, the buzz toad has also been grabbed by a few solid fish.
If you are on the delta and see (or more likely hear) Riley, stop by and say hello. Good luck, and I hope your rod gets bent by a beast!
