Courser keeps locking current location

Carbon 12 keeps locking on the current location. I have to keep clearing the courser. Anyone know what the issue is?

Could it be you are just barely touching the screen? Doesn't take much.

No, not touching the screen. It will lock on a spot on its own. Happening every few seconds. As soon as I clear the courser it will lock on again in a few seconds.

Is the cursor showing up at the same location on the screen each time? At the least, I would backup my waypoints, routes, etc. and then perform a hard reset to see if that fixes the issue.

I think it is showing up in the same location every time. I’ll try the hard reset. Thanks.

I did a soft reset and a hard reset. I also did a cursor calibration. Cursor is still showing up about every 3-5 seconds without touching.
I also found that the screen will not respond to touching 3/4" in from the edge on the left side, from top to bottom.
Looks like the screen is not working correctly. What is the procedure for sending the unit back to Lowrance?

I had the same issue a few years back. I unplugged the graph from all connections and it fixed the issue.

I could not get the issue fixed. I sent it in to Lowrance for repair/replacement. Unit is within the two year warranty.

Just a follow-up with my issue with the Carbon HDS-12. Lowrance replaced it with a brand new HDS-12 Live with a 3 in 1 transducer. There were no questions asked.
