ELK GROVE Ca – For the FIRST TIME in the Future Pro Tour's 18-year history, the RAM Truck Angler of the Year, and Navionics Cup races ended in a "dead heat" between two central valley teams.

Perennial favorites Hung Ho and Eva Loung - one of the Tour's many husband and wife teams, left the door cracked open for last year's Anglers of the Year - Russ Pierson and Mike Beevers to "slip through", as their failure to weigh-in a 5-fish limit in the last event of the season, caused the 2020 AOY and Navioncs Cup races to end in a tie.

In keeping with FPT's motto of being the best place to "build your bass fishing skills", the ties that exist for the 2020 RAM Trucks Anglers of the Year, and Navionics Cup titles, will be determined by a "sudden death" style fish-off.

To this end, the FPT's Tournament Competition Committee has selected Lake Tulloch - a small - but fertile lake well off the the beaten path of all tournament trails, as "ground zero" for a dramatic showdown/"fish-off" between these two veteran teams. "This is a challenge like no other" and we are happy that the title will be settled by an on-the-water "fish-off", rather than a "flip of a coin", noted Mike Beevers.

"This is one of the reasons why we fish this tour - because it always provides challenges that allow us to put our skills to the test, which in turn, helps us grow."

The terms for this showdown/fish-off, will be simple:

Both teams will have only ONE-DAY to pre-fish or get acquainted with the lake - but they can only visit the lake ONE-TIME before the fish-off.
Lake Tulloch is a small but fertile lake that lies west of the quiet cites of Jamestown and Copperopolis

Angler's Press Outdoors will provide each team with a cash stipend to help with fuel expenses, and on Wednesday, February 10th, they will arrive at Lake Tulloch, fish from 6:30am to noon, where the heaviest 5-fish limit will determine who the 2020 Ram Trucks Angler of the Year and Navionics Cup champions will be!

It's a SHOWDOWN at Tulloch....so stay tuned!
