Under 300 hours
Never in salt water only fresh water
Motor was always pampered and not driven hard .... but somehow something went wrong.... bad luck on my part I guess lol
Was always serviced regularly and have receipts and maintenance records since 2016
Went out fishing in November of 2020
And I heard a weird noise and knew something went wrong
Long story short ....
took it in to My local Merc dealer
And was told the right top spark plug was not functioning proper
And was told slight metal was found on spark plug ?
The dealer gave me 2 options
Either rebuild the cylinder for around $4k or a new powerhead for under $12k
I decided to repower and get the new ProXs
The lower unit and prop and everything else is in perfect shape with out any problems what so ever
I don’t know to much about motors or anything like that
The motor is still on my boat
So it will have to be removed
And we can schedule a apt to do so at a local shop
Or the buyer can do it them self ,
