Englebright Lake

Anybody fish Englebright lake for bass?

I've heard of people fishing it here and there, but nothing to get excited about. I'm sure like anywhere if the time was put in, it could produce some solid fish. Just a small body of water.

It is a lake with steep walls around it and doesn't get a lot of early spring sun, especially when the lake is low.

And it is at the 2000 ft elevation - warms up slower.

It may turn on a bit earlier this year as the winter has not been that cold. Beautiful lake!!

I fish it a couple times a year. Has all three species. Typically stays full as it gets water out of Bullards Bar. That said, it will fluctuate 6-8 feet at times and because the water comes out of the Bullards outlet the temperature can also fluctuate. There is a grass line around a lot of the lake and the bass relate to it at times. A good bass from Englebright is 4 pounds. Lots of skiers in the nice weather. It also has a counter clockwise traffic flow because it is narrow.
