Why no release boat for Won Bass Tournament

Post by Brianw »

I am surprised that no release boat is required for the Won Bass Tournament at Clear Lake. I would think that a 214 boat tournament would be mandatory by either Fish and Game or the Chamber of Commerce.

Maybe the release boat was full. I didn't think of that.

They have a release boat ! when it’s full “ they go out and release’ at different locations’ to spread the fish out ! the periods that they are out “ competitors must go out and release there own fish !

The release boat was there all 3 days. Not sure why you are saying there wasn’t one. The only time the release boat wasn’t at the dock it was out releasing the fish. And as far as dead fish, I didn’t see any floaters. The water was still pretty cool, 63 degrees, so unless it was a deep hooked fish survival should have been fine.
