Clear lake ramps

Post by Wrknap »

A friend of mine is coming out west with his grandson and has asked me to take them fishing. I’m planning for a day on Clear lake but I don’t typically fish clear lake allot due to the distance from my home. They will be driving in from the north so it works out best.
I read the level is low, as expected, my concerns are the ramps I’ve called and they are telling me they are still open but thought I would get an experienced opinion. Redbud, Clearlake Oaks? Which would be best? Other options? Ive read about the frog fishing there of late and I hope to get him on some blow-ups early on.
Any thoughts are appreciated. I’ll need to get my updated Quagga stamps so I’ll need to be close to a tackle shop for purchase that morning.
Thank you in advance.

Right now your best option is Library Park / 5th St Ramp

Whichever ramp you choose, recommend you use your trolling motor when inside the buoys.
