So sad Aaron was one of my favorite pro anglers. My wife found out he was a cat lover and that did it for her. RIP Aaron

What sicko would start a rumor like this?
Anyway, from what i've read he's in bad shape and barring a miracle it could be anytime.
Prayers a miracle happens for Aaron.

Wow. This is a perfect example of why I think Facebook, and a lot of the social media stuff, sucks. And why I don’t buy into (= bother looking at) that stuff. Call me old school, I like that …

Thanks for clarifying the horrible mistake.

Tom, can you delete your post to stop the mis-information about Aarons passing?

I used to fish in tournaments against him and his mother back in the day in SoCal. Honey and Sonny were great competitors and it was awesome watching him explode on to the national scene.I have always enjoyed his truly obsessive personality applied to fishing and it has been a real treat to travel in the boat ( via my T.V. ) with him while he fished MLF. I am deeply saddened by this news as he was a class act and will be sorely missed.

This is sad news. I fished with Carol at Shasta. Aaron was always smiling. He was a fun competitor in those days (not to say he didn't stay that way because he did). At mead, I remember he'd make the runs, no one else would, and come back with the fish. Prayers to Leslie and the kids and to Carol too. It's so tragic for a mother to lose a child at any age. God Bless the Martens Family.

Please pray for Aaron’s family, the grief is overwhelming for a mother to out live her son and young mother and children to loose their Aaron.
Looking back I remember a kid standing on the Castiac boat dock while launched out boats and Dick Trask asking “hey kid you want to take a boat ride”. The rest is history Aaron became a top stick locally and nationally.

Very sad to hear over the weekend that Aaron had passed. His death has affected in ways that only a few others have. In the passing of Robin Williams I felt sadness and emptiness after the great entertainer passed. In Aarons passing I feel very similar. He was a great person in the bass fishing world. I will always remember how well prepared and dedicated he was to the sport and will always think of him when I'm preparing for my next outing! Rest in Peace Aaron, my condolences to the Martens family.
