DON PEDRO NEW ENTRY PRICE!!!!

Post by Fidlplr »

All I can say is with that almost double increase there better be 3 ply toilet paper and soap in the bathrooms now. This is ridiculous.

And the launch ramp should be paved with gold…

This is an astronomical increase. What a shame.

Funny how expensive fishing is getting. It’s only common sense that companies and entities see how much fishermen are spending on their boats, electronics, tackle, and clothing. It’s become a rich man’s sport. It’s no wonder that they are charging more at the launch ramps. Take a look at the new Plano boxes. Old style Plano boxes cost about $5-$7 each. Look at the prices of the new yellow ones lol…..

I went to Amador a few times around 35 years ago and it was stupid expensive. I can only imagine what it’s like now?

Comanche is 21 dollars for vehicle and boat
7.50 for fishing permit (off season)

Comanche charges 6.50 per day for a dog on your boat.

Factoring inflation, launch fees are really $10. $30 today was $10 yesterday. Thanks to the $9T deficit incurred by both parties and congress, launch fees will get cheaper ie. higher inflation which is lower dollar value  . This is necessary to pay off that $9T debt with cheap dollars, the end game.

Good luck!

Yeah...that dog charge pisses me off at these lakes. Money grab.
If these lakes want to make more money then they should charge by the head.
Tree Huggers?? I don't know about that. I would say its bad management thinking they can get back in the black by jacking up the price. Hopefully all fisherman will avoid that place. A ski boat with 10 people can absorb the price increase unlike a boat with 1-2 people.

Fun day of fishing for nonboaters of these clubs
Still to this day i have never ask for a dime from nonboaters because i was going fishing with our without a nonboater.

I was very happy and surprised when I found out the parking and launch was free at the lakes near me in Idaho. Used to pay $20-25 at Del Valle depending on if my son came or not.

Michigan is similar to ID. Most all ramps are free and the hunting/fishing licenses are much less as well.

It didn't help DF&G when Arnold moved their revenue from license fees to the general fund. I wonder where all the extra $$ from this increase at Pedro goes?

Think my annual pass for Shasta was $75 with the Golden Eagle "Old Guys" pass. Good everywhere but Bridge Bay. With most ramps not useable because of low water, I was hoping for a break, did not happen. :(

When the dam at new melones was built part of the deal that allowed it to happen was free recreation
Until 15 years ago or so it was indeed free boating
I understand the lakes are operated by a variety of different agencies
One thing in common is they are all governed by Ca
Don’t make excuses for the dirty anti American democrat lefties running Ca
It’s exactly what they want you to do

Been saying for a while the cost of fishing is rising so fast poor people are pushed out so nature is only for the rich or the poor who literally sacrafice so many other things in life to go to a lake and wet the line.
A stand must be taken a boycott and more are necessary it will require action i have said this many times before. California offers the youth what exactly its to expensive to fish and or drive for other rec activity they are forcing the people to do less activitys and less drive less eat less and they are spending more money on the homeless atm then the california education system. we will see many graduate High school with little to no education. Thats how you know the future is going to be bad!

It will be the same at pedro nobody will boycott the lake when there are season passes to be bought.
