FOLSOM Calif. – The Walmart “MEGA-CASH” Classic is coming to Folsom Lake May 21st - 22nd providing an exciting and competitive venue for anglers in the Sacramento and surrounding areas with an opportunity to win big cash and notoriety for their bass angling efforts.
Held in a 2-day elimination format, this event will have no more than 10-teams participating, where on the final day, only the highest finishing 10-teams will remain to participate in a dramatic “drive-thru” weigh-in processional in front of Walmart’s Supercenter store located in Folsom California.
The stakes are high, as $10,000 in cold cash will be awarded to the winning team, with $1,000 going to the last place team, and a $2,000 cash award going to the biggest fish of the event!
But for this year, there will be an exciting event – within the event, dubbed the Dr. Pepper “Winner-Take-All High-School Showdown” that will feature only FIVE northern California High-School teams, competing only on the final day (Sunday), for a $500 cash purse, that requires no entry fee!
These “Pepper Youth” from Oakdale, Vista Del Lago, Golden Sierra, NorCal, and Del Oro High Schools, will be decked out in Dr. Pepper “swag” and READY TO GO at Sunday afternoon’s dramatic drive-by weigh-in, to show off their catches and win some cash, so make sure you come down to cheer them on as they involve themselves in a wholesome outdoor activity.
And don’t forget...Angler’s Press Outdoors will be hosting a huge Outdoor Expo at the Walmart SuperCenter in Folsom on Sunday May 22nd from 10am to 4pm, that will feature:

• Camping, boat, and RV displays
