Still have questions about the California Boater Card?
My son got a ticket for using my 5 hp inflatable on Lake Berryessa. Do you need a boater card if the motor is below 15 hp?

This is what it says...
In California, a California Boater Card is required to operate a vessel with a motor of 15 horsepower or more, including personal watercraft (PWCs). The card is issued by the California State Parks Division of Boating and Waterways (DBW).
