Governor Newsom Meets with President Trump Tomorrow
Governor Gavin Newsom is set to meet with President Donald Trump and Republican leaders tomorrow, February 5, 2025, to discuss the Los Angeles fires and California's water management. We urge the Governor to defend California’s people, environment, and state laws during these critical discussions. Federal disaster relief should not come with conditions that force California to sacrifice clean water, cultural resources, and ecological health.
The President’s recent executive orders undermine California's right to manage its water responsibly, threatening riverside communities, Tribes, and native species like the state’s iconic salmon runs. By tying much-needed federal aid for Los Angeles to harmful changes in water policy, the administration puts California’s environment and economy at risk.

What are the big cities going to do with this extra water? Lower the peoples monthly water bill? Force people to drink more water, plant more grass? Store it in an imaginary lake they don't have for the drought years?
