As fans should enjoy it while they can. we all know that in the end they will be buying tickets to see a playoff game instead of playing in one. in the last few year the As have not done anything but be pretenders. with a payroll like theirs they should be playing the river cats. we will all see how the As fans get real quite at the end of the season. Nope, San Fran is the only team that should even consider signing him next year. No team is going to pay what he will ask for, the Giants and their fans are the only people in America that give ashit whether or not he plays next year, and third, it is the perfect way for Barry to leave baseball and blame it on the fact that no one wanted to pay him... But he will probably sign with the Giants and make a feeble effort to break the record. A record that I hope he does not break.

PS. If the Angels do not sweep your A's this weekend the season is over. Then I will concentrate my post season efforts on the Mets...
