Looks like a Rapala, but its not... What is it?

Post by Bob La Londe »

Anybody know of a rubber body bait that looks just like a classic Rapala jerk bait.

Its got the same profile and the same plastic bill, but its an all rubber body with what looks like a cable through the body for the rear hook.

Its also a very slow sinker. Just a tad heavier than a suspending bait, but not much.

Anybody know what it is and who makes it.

Did I give you a sample bait to try last February at Martinez?

I sure looks like the Jackall. Some others have suggested baits by Snag Proof, Yo Zuri, and Strike King. Its definitely not the Snag Proof. I have not tracked down the Yo-Zuri or Strike King versions to compare yet.

The Jackall Mask 100 is probably the best looking bait of them all...

Picked mine up from the Bass-A-Thon. They, also, make a lipless crank soft bodied bait....

The material is supposed to be very durable; I have not used mine yet; can't put down the LC...
