i'm in for two. my son has fished the last two events and has had a tremendous time. we are fortunate to not have to worry about the $30 at this time but i know that cooch and the others would never leave a kid on the dock.

that being said, i think there are two things that need to be addressed:

1) it seems like we have no shortage of people that are willing to sponsor a kid. now the appropriate agencies need to be contacted so that we "can" sponsor a kid that needs it.

2) if this takes off like it looks like it will ...... we need a LOT more boaters. i, unfortunately, don't have a boat but i don't think it's too early to start recruiting boaters.

my son and i can't wait for next years event. :D

My hope was originally that Dana would step up to head up a "sponsor a kid" effort since she has voiced her concern over this a couple times and her participation has always been welcomed. Seemed like a good opportunity for her to assist in making the event more like what she says she wants.

It looks like she would rather remain frustrated rather than help. Oh well.

Andy - Can you or sTony post a address when we can send in our donations?

Thank you everyone for stepping up. I don't care what Tony says about you all, you are good people. ;)

If you checked out the website she linked to her name the website is the same thing as what she posted. I dont understand why she would at least respond. I agree she should step up. She use to be a nutcase back in the day and it was her style to be a part of the solution. well here is her chance and she has not responded not once..... Hey Dana what do you at least think of how people have responded to this thread.

What do you say... Dana F..... Head of sponsor support for the annual pro teen classic?

Yes No Maybe????????????????????

Gator and I are working on a special account, then putting together a special link on the Pro-Teen page. As soon as we have all this in place, we will make the announcement.

Ya just gotta love the folks who frequent and support this site. We want to personally thank each and every one of you who have come in here and offered to sponsor an entry fee for a teen next year. As well as all those who have given us a greater insight to the real joy we experience with the Pro-Teen. Kudos to all of you!

This is one of the most off the wall post I have read, I haven't posted on the site in a long time. But EVERYONE who is at this event is awesome, The second year of the event, I was on Live TV, with you, and Dewayne, and we helped promote this event, I remember that day like it was yesterday, I went on to win that event as a teen, then the following 2 years I fished as a boater and had a great time, I have been out of the fishing game for while, but will be back soon, I will be there this year.

sTony and Cooch and EVERYONE keep up the awesome job.

Jason, that was a fun day wasn't it? I remember that 6+lb bass you got on the speed trap. What a fun day. I still remember it too!

Talking about spinning a positive from a negative... thank you for giving us the opportunity to fulfill the void of Teens that can not afford to fish. I am working with the bass club to sponsor teens as well as not schedule events on this date.

I have only participated once in this event two years ago and it was just AWESOME!!! Actually the best ran tournament I have ever been a part of and was the highlight of my first year here in NorCal.

I've kept my mouth shut, until now....

I'm not going to attack anyone here. It sounds like there is some history and hurt feelings.

I will say that I've done these the last 4 years and look forward to this event more than any other event.

I've had/learned some great lessons that I wouldn't of had I not participated.

I'll do some sponsoring as soon as I can.
I had to come back...I know...
