san luis - basalt
have not fished for about 45 days and i have to work tonight and so i went out this morning to the big lake basalt and fished top water only, fished for an hour and caught about 7 total and kept 2 and one was 18 inches and the other was 29 inches...tyj.....

Nice, thanks for the report. Im heading out there tomorrow around 5pm and gonna fish til 9am sunday morn. I plan on fishin topwater during daylight hrs and soaking anchos at night.

went out yesterday mornning. caught up to 10 on super fluke sworming hornet combo from 15-17 inches. Caught one at 29 inches. All in goosehead point

Fished lastnite and this morning caught a bunch up to 18in on flukes and 1 smallmouth on a spook.

fished again this morn ( monday )fished one hour, all top water and not even a bite,nothing........................all at he basalt area....

hey lucky, no there was nothing working the top, the shad were there but no stripers,same senario as friday,except no fish.....

The smallmouth was the only fish I caught on top shad were everywhere. I worked the goose from the asphalt to the point for the others.

It's a largemouth. I can tell even with all the gravel on it.
