I retired in Happy Valley, OR approximately 11 years ago from Redding, CA. after nearly 40 years living most of my adult life in or near Shasta County, enjoying bass fishing recreationally as well as at tournament levels, most everywhere in California, inclusive of the CA Delta. I was in receipt of the photo of the bass shown herein that was EMailed to me from Renaud P. who received it early last week, from a close friend. Like Mr. Hemphill and others here, I was in doubt of this being a small mouth bass in this photo. However, a F/G biologist from Washington state authenti...

No question about it, if you can be at the very back of incoming fresh (like the very week or day it flows in the heaviest from torrential rain) you will put some of the heaviest limits in your boat, that you have every seen. This is true on Shasta as well as Oroville, I know, because I have been fo...

Re: A-Rig Lure Wrap
Storing an ARig depends on size (which is length, usually), as I build all sizes, however here's a method that works for me. Take a flat piece of heavier guage plastic. Cut it to length to match length needed, roll in to approximately 2 inch diameter (again dependent on style of ARig). Use duct tape...
