I agree with Scott on the wool. It's bulkier than some of the newer stuff, but it keeps you warm! I was amazed at how easy it is to cast with the wool gloves on, without cutting the thumb tip off. I'm going to try and take the the 21st off. I've never been up to Bullards. I prefer not to have to drive home, so if we can all get in on a houseboat or something to help shave the cost, that would be cool.

I think the only way you're going to get them checked is to pull them out and take them to someone with a modern battery tester.
