Going to Camanche on the 19th. Just found out that boats from san benito county are allowed on the lake again. Haven't been there in a couple years due to that ban (which is dumb). Anyways just wondering what the bite is like and where the water level is? Is it still super expensive to fish there? T...

I disagree with all of you about dobyns rods. The tip of my 1st gen rod broke on a hookset (which wasn't hard at all). And this was the third time out. Then called and spoke to Richard dobyns himself and he said I had to fork over the 60 bucks to get a new one. Thn my bro got the 2nd gen rod cause h...

Yah I see what you mean Phillip G, but that wasnt quite what I meant, I know you and most other locals would only need a couple of days prefishing to do well, but what I was triying to say was I need 3 or 4 days on the water to keep up with you guys a little bit.

I personally dislike an off limits rule. For deep jigs I really like the new Daiwa Zillion 7ft med heavy, I pair that with a Daiwa zillion 6.3:1 reel. As for a swimbait rod it depends on the size of swimbaits you want to throw, a nice all around rod is a Dobyns 795ml it can throw the big baits like Hudds and can still throw alot of the sma...
