Re: locked down threads...

Sorry but there's no axe to grind or hidden agenda. Just wanted to see the topic remain 'open'. As a result there have been many supporting comments for the show and constructive posts that followed. Bang on me if you like but there's usually a method to my madness and it's kind of worked. :D

Re: locked down threads...

One thing I will point out, Rick, is that car shows and consumer electronics shows have a much more broad based appeal to the general public. The Fred Hall Show has always been a great event, but even they, in current economic times have had a harder go of it. The ISE in the North just keeps losing ...

Re: locked down threads...

Pionts well made, Rick. There are shows that are thriving today and well supported as well. I've always loved the Bass-a-thon as well and developed a sincere appreciation for it. Up here the trend for the ISE isn't quite the same though.

Interesting to see open communication being locked down here as much as it has recently. I don't know what purpose it serves, for anyone. My thoughts are simple on the ISE; what with the coming of the internet, who needs to go to a show anymore when you get this information, and much more, coming to...

As Dan stated, I also don't have a dog in the fight either. Bass will adapt, anglers will have to also to remain competitive in certain, likely most, situations. The rig doesn't work 'all the time and in all scenarios'. Seems maybe some folks wanna keep the status quo as that plays to their advantag...

It's George's list. And the beauty of it is, you can make up your own Top 40 list. Got a problem with Mr. Kramer's list then go ahead and make up your own and post it here for comparisons sake. Maybe a few will post their own Top 40 list in a similar style as to George's list, i.e; 1-40 with a short...

Re: Trailer tire tread

Your tires might look great on one side but the blow out will happen where it's wearing, not where it's not. So, if you have any part of the tire that's below 2/32, it needs to be replaced. It's not like the wear will shift to where there is tread over time.

As long as you pose the question knowing that there are indeed regular co's that have no interest in ever jumping to the front in tournaments, all is good. Some guys enjoy the co experience, find a lot of competition there, and have no interest in moving beyond. And that should be okay, because they...

Is it just me, likely so, or does this rig just not sound very 'sporting'? Sure sounds like something a commercial fisherman might use and I've got no problem with that but to use something like this in a tournament just seems like you'd just be eliminating any and all skill.
